In a heartbeat. A GTX 560 performs at GTX 570 levels with easy overclocks.

This is the stupidest argument that people toss around and it makes no sense. Any card can be overclocked. A GTX570 overclocked will then pull ahead of the overclocked gtx560.

Saying a card can be overclocked to another cards level and is therefore superior is stupid. The only time that holds ANY water is when one card has a much greater overhead, and even that is never guaranteed.

No **** Sherlock? We're comparing a GTX 560 to a GTX 470. If the topic was a trade of a 570 for a 560, I wouldn't have made that point and recommended against the trade. The idea here is that a GTX 560 >> GTX 470.

Also, if the topic was regarding a $250 budget (for example), a point that could be made is to note that a 560 can easily reach 570 levels, which means it is the best bang-for-buck in that price category.

I agree that in the general performance argument, my point would have no ground. But again, this is not a general performance argument. Please stop raging.

Any specific reason why? I would think that greater performance capability, better thermals, better acoustics, and lower power consumption would be enough to convince anyone.
well if you get a GTX 470 with a good cooler (the twin Frozer 2 version is selling for cheap now) then i would think twice.

The 560 has 384 cores, the Gtx470 has 448. If you get a 470 to 800 core i don't think a 560 could trump it.

I'm not raging at all, but you are obviously upset that I pointed out that your point about overclocking doesn't have any merit. In this case both a gtx560 and a gtx470 can be overclocked.

Its cool bro.
