M4A89TD PRO/USB3/1090T ram suggestions

Looking at the above setup http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131655 paired with a 1090T (actually for my son). I'm not sure he wants to spend the $$$ for a CHIV like my sig rig so as an alternative I'm researching something a little less costly. The QVL has two listings for ram, one specifically for the 6 core which does not list any 1600 ram. My question is, will this mobo run 12800 4GB G.Skill ECO's (7-8-7) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231321 (which 2 x 2GB is listed just not under the 6 core) with the 1090T? Or is this mobo finicky like the CHIV with Ram selection. I'm sure he'll be on air (Scythe Mugen etc) so it would need to be low profile I'm guessing, that's why the ECO's come to my mind. He's also considering 8GB as well if this setup is capable of that with the 6 core.

Any other ASUS mobo suggestions are welcome and I will be suggesting the CHIV already, just looking for a nice alternative to pass his way. He's wanting the 1090T, ASUS mobo and probably G.Skill ram but that's not etched in stone. Anyone have a suggestion for either 4 or 8GB of ram? Maybe a better idea for a mobo?

Nice selection, nothing to add there. The memory should run on that board with a 1090T. You might have to manually tweak the voltage a bit, but thats not much trouble. That memory will OC like a beast.
As for the mobo, there are 890fx offerings from other companies but personally I prefer ASUS. If your son is not going to use crossfire, then you can look for cheaper cheapsets like 880G or 890GX too. Having said that, nothing beats the 890FX while OCing, it will always provide better results. If you are going to use low voltage ram, then 890FX is the best option.

I think Sandman knows the OC-ing capabilities of ECO, already owning a kit I suggest it sometimes in client PCs as well. If it's on one QVL and runs with that, it's most likely going to run on the other. Since the 1090T's IMC is pretty much the most rock solid on all AMD, you shouldn't have any problems
