I just sold a pretty big bundle for 480 dollars that is composed of:
-AMD Phenom II 1100T x6
-ASUS M4A88T V-EVO
-500gb Hitachi 7200rpm hard drive
-apeva x-cruiser 2 case
-600w 80 plus bronze certified psu
-a sealed copy of windows 7 home premium
- a sealed copy of Microsoft office home and student
-cpu liquid cooling
-oh and 8gb DDR3 (4x2gb) 1600hz geil

No one would use the buy it now button errrrg!!! so i took the highest offer which was 480. Should it have gone for higher?

the software on newegg is over half of that price man,i was going to use it for another rig i was working on

from the looks of things, you made little to no profit.

I would tend to agree with above, though I almost wonder how you managed not to loose money on that one. Guess not tossing in a GPU helped...

Most companies try to sell what they produce for a 80-100% markup if possible.

i know, before i started building my own computers which was very recent, i looked into actually buying gaming pc from ibuypower and such... you save a bunch of money if you just buy the parts and build it yourself.

This is true, except the point, I'm assuming was that you were trying to make profit off of this. Which means you should have made the minimum bid like 50% above cost..right?

Where do you get this from? Most stores operate on a much smaller margin, anywhere from a few percent to ~30%, depending on the type of good being sold. There are a few items, usually lower cost items, that have large markups of 100%+, but that is the exception, not the norm.

Why did you sell it on ebay?

Post up a picture of what the box looked like or at least the pictures you used for the auction, sometimes the pictures play a large roll in the outcome.
