Au contraire. Asrock got totally separated from them the last year and now they make great hardware, yet with a great price.
You should check their P67 Extreme4 motherboard, tons of win for decent money. There's also the P67 Extreme6 that has more features

I didn't say anything about Asrock. I said Asus, their service has gone to hell. Since you brought up Asrock, I wouldn't get their products before the split let alone after.

Edit*
This is just one example and I saw this first hand with my best friend on another one of their products. It's sad because I had used their products for almost 10 years too.

IMO go with a 1366 970/980X if you have no budget, or wait till LGA2011, IF you want the absolute best. LGA1155 is great too, but u'll have to wait till SB MoBOs start shipping again.
i would recommend you grab a i7 2600K/i5 2500K (if u wanna OC)because the OC potential of non k processors is unbearable.
Since you dont want to OC, grab a 970 with 1366 and roll with that.

My fault, I wasn't clear, I was just saying "while Asus is getting worst, Asrock is getting better". Yep

Why Asus Maximus IV Extreme? Compare features with ASUS P8P67 PRO or Deluxe and then make a choice.
