The only change to the rule for a private business is: Everyone has a replacement, except the boss.

Trust me when I say, there is a line already building up for the positions of those that left and it's made of quality players for AMD to pick from.
Thank you. Just because some high up people leave does not mean that the company, or any projects will fall flat on their faces. If they ran the company like that to where only a select few people knew what was going on or running the show, they would not make any money.

The Bulldozer chip(s) will emulate awesome sauce, and when you first turn on your computer it will say, "Welcome to the new millennium master.. How may I best serve you?" (Pre-programing required...)

=================================

Now on topic, I'm starting to wonder if maybe indeed Bulldozer is where it ends for AMD, funny thing is, when a building is set for destruction, a bulldozer comes in.... (Hmmmm!)

I remember watching a few videos some time ago...

Charlie Rose Interviews Intel's CEO

Charlie Rose Interviews AMD's CEO (I need to find this video)

If you watch these you can get a clear view of these companies visions, ideas, and what's really going on..

Nevertheless, particularly in statements made by the CEO of AMD, he states that AMD isn't really interesting in competing with Intel, which struck me extremely odd.. But from a business standpoint I don't know, maybe it makes sense..

Furthermore, you have a compounding account of different factors which could very well warranty getting rid of employees, like poor stock performance, investors screaming for action, etc. etc..

If I was to make a prediction or assumption about what AMD is doing, I'd say they are getting ready to sell, are paying out bonuses, with resignation required naturally...

But what does anyone know, we aren't insiders, and even if we were, we wouldn't be allowed to speak publicly...

Only a blind AMD fan would not get worried with this news. I was a long time AMD supported before getting the i7 I have now.
I hope AMD survives cause one company ruling the market is NEVER good for us the buyers. We get higher prices and the company stops pushing the envelope since there is no competition anymore.
That said, this reminds me of when the Dreamcast came out and was having lots of sucess then the CEO decided to quit and everyone was like what?!
Well, we know the end of the story so there is a reason high profile guys decide to move one , specially in bunches...they know a LOT more of the whats happening for real at the company than we do.

I'd say that's a fair conclusion indeed..

You have to look at all the facts, especially the past, they aren't looking good. But comparing the present to the past, that is still speculation as of today.

I'd say that the upper level Corporate Officers who have been leaving don't really stand to get hired in today's economy, so a move like this would be suicide for most Corporate officers..

Something tells me they were offered a chance to leave, in light of some bad news maybe.. Downsizing & rightsizing are the only 2 words that come to my mind here...
