I almost buy one of RAT series , but noticed that RAT 3,5,7 are soo small for my big hand. I was like Ahh forget and pass. I ended up bought G700 instead.

Your main problems is your using an aluminum gaming pad with a mouse that uses replaceable teflon pads... once they are worn out you need to replace them or your mouses frame comes into contact with the mouse pad. I have the same mouse and I would never use an aluminum gaming pad I would use a material gaming pad.

That's fine it doesn't matter if it is 3 years old people will still read the thread if they are having the same issues. This was what I found to be the cause that's the only reason I posted... I saw it was posted in 2011 lol

Depending on the roughness of your mouse pad, yes the feet will wear down. Thus causing to scrape a bit. The two links above supply replacement feet on eBay. I have bought feet for my CM Storm Sentinel 1 from both companies and they are laser cut and good quality. Have always fit perfectly. They seem to be a bit thicker than the stock feet. Hope this helps.

Ok seriously who bumped this? ITS FROM 2011!!! The thread is quite literally 3 years old!

On a more serious note, yes, the RAT's suck for reliability. Love the mouse, my favourite ever, but it has a really crappy laser.
