Cooler Master V8 or Hyper N620? Or something else?

Thread Starter
So if anyone was keeping track of my thread in the AMD CPU forum my stock CPU fan has started dieing and can only go up to ~4000RPMs instead of it's original 6k RPMs, not that I'm really complaining as my computer can't sound like a jet engine without oil anymore, but, the CPU getting up to 60c in a cold room under full load worries me and I got $100 free for my "pain and suffering" from getting rear ended and only having a headache a month ago driving around town, so new heatsink time!
After looking around on and off for at least a week now the Hyper N620 and V8 stick out to me and I think I want to get the V8 for more heatpipes and well I'll be honest it looks cool and if anyone ever broke in my house I could probably kill them with the thing with it weighing in at almost two pounds. But I wanted to see what everyones recommendations are? I've seen around the internet that both these heatsinks aren't the best of the best but they still do very good while managing to stay under $50, but are their any that anyone recommends higher? My only thing is I'd like it to be under $50 to 60 max.

These are the ones I would recommend. Some might be a bit over your budget but worth the extra $$. If you really want to save money get the Hyper 212+ it will not disappoint at that price.

But wouldn't the 212+ be more of a downgrade than the N620 and V8?

That should sort things out for you. TBH the V8 and V10 are over-rated and has horrible priceerformance ratio.

Wow I expected the performance difference between the 212+ and N620 to be more than 2-3c. And yeah I know the V's are overrated, go figure you give something a cool name and everyone freaks over it, but the reason I was still considering it is I could get it for no more than $50 and to me it *does* look cool compared to most other tower coolers. Though if I find that a $25 cooler can do just as good as a $50 V8 then I'd take the cheaper one of coarse.
