Futureproof rig?

I'm wondering if I made a rushed decision buying a 1366 system late last year? You think my current system will be good enough for another 2 years by just replacing the GPU's?

You've got a great system as it is...no rig is truly future proof.
Yes your rig should be perfectly fine for the next 2 years.

There's always something new on the horizon and if you bought a Sandy Bridge system or waiting for Ivy Bridge then you'd be asking same question a year into the ownership when the next big thing is coming out.

Current CPUs are very very powerful and there will be very few if any games or daily-used programs that will start to bottleneck the non-GPU components for many years.

I replaced my 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 with my 950. I plan on keeping my 950 for just as long. You are fine.

I think future proof depends on how you use it. If all you do is excel then a 486 was very future proof. If you do something more intensive then it won't be as futreproof. Future proof is as deep as your pockets.
