This game isn't crysis; it is call of duty. Single player is quite linear, over-scripted, and just another walk down the only available city street shooting things (almost no ability to change strategies or paths as compared to the original crysis). The multiplayer is taken straight from Call of duty with leveling up, kill cams, extremely fast paced, etc (if trailers are to be believed).

Don't misunderstand, I like COD4 (not the new ones though). I want crysis to be crysis though. I don't want just another COD that is set in the future. I want to be able to play through over and over trying different things and just messing around. I want to be able to see where I am attacking, formulate a new strategy, and then quickly take down the enemies. I want a stealth-action-strategy FPS (what crysis offers with improved AI mods and realism mods) not a twitch shooter (that suffers from consolitis).

EDIT: note: I haven't played the leaked copy, but I have watched quite a lot of in-game footage from a variety of other players.

Piracy and hacked early releases are the number one reason PC Gaming has been struggling.

If you download a game illegally you're just contributing to the demise of what you enjoy. Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us.

It wouldn't be a problem if a Crytek/EA employee didn't leak it in the first place, at least until the game was released.

That's what release-day DRM is for.

EDIT: Also releasing the game worldwide on the same date can combat piracy. People see it's not available in their region yet and take it as discrimination (which it is, it's not hard to release it worldwide at the same time) and then pirate it because they know other people are enjoying it already, and they can't for an x amount of days.

Uh.

Yep.

Valid argument.

Good point on the same release dates. I could understand a few days, but not weeks or even months.

No, it's still crysis.

Wonder if a demo will be released for pc after the leak. This game will definitely be worth buying and I'm quite glad the leak only supports DX9. I mean seriously... who plays anything with DX9 anymore? DX11 is where it's at.

Anyone who thinks pc gaming is struggling needs to take a step back and look at STEAM and WoW.

It's march 25 for the rest of the world... I'm sick of companies releasing things late in countries other than America. It's plain not fair and encourages piracy, because it's simply not available yet.
