cause and effect, unless you're trying to imply something else and the meaning of your post went over me
Okay. Basically what I said was I wonder if it was leaked intentionally, KNOWING it was going to be pirated afterwards so people could say "look at all those pirates on PC. Why don't we focus on putting our games on consoles FIRST from now on?"

Hope on pc you can "mod" the difficulty file to make the speed mode a bit quicker again like original Crysis.

oh. makes sense now

but then to answer you it seems there has been an outpouring of support and given the apparently shoddy quality of the leak it just seems worth it to wait and see.

i mean, i know i don't want to be forced to play such a game in DX9 only you know?

how so?

if the game has gone gold it'd make sense to have the devs stay active and working by making DLC. that file is probably being put there so the DLC will work correctly.

most games tend to ship with DLC afterwards - i don't understand why you're upset. there's no evidence there that the DLC is complete - only that it may exist and has names.

With the recent PS3 jailbreak, console games can be pirated even easier than PC games can. PC gamers are the smart crowd who actually do something about it. I hate how people complain about how PC gamers are ruining the community because consoles are susceptible to the exact same thing.

Let's stay on the topic however but i have theories and would love to hear your input on this theory.

How did Crysis 2 get leaked? Did someone had access to their computer and stole the game? Or was it an inside job or publicity stunt to see how many people would go crazy wanting to play the game? Gives them an idea how much money they can rake in. Although Crytek claimed they were disappointed, could it be they were lying and just wanted to see what happened? OR.. did someone hack their system and stole every Crysis file? lol.

I still think it was an inside job and someone broke the rules or someone had access to a beta testing program? I have no clue. Still doesn't explain how it got leaked in the first place got me thinking it could been Crytek all along just to see how the reaction go in PC community, thus getting feedback and finalizing the touch ups for the final release? Thoughts?

It could've only been leaked by a person with physical access to one of the computers with it on it (and know their way around the game), copying 10gb of files over the internet probably would've been noticed and somebody would've been arrrested by now if that was the case. The only other thing that could make it an accidental leak (other than a disgruntled employee) would be a family member doing it, however unlikely that is. TBH I think it was intentional though.
