I've plaed the demo for 4 hours now, i had some fun, but not enough to make me too excited, the controls dont feel right, the console menu is worrying as is the extremely small maps and player size, especially as they said it would be the same on all platforms. Maximum fail in the PR department, all the trailers raised my expectation to that higher of a CoD clone,
and one of my perks armour modules wasn't working either,
neither was crossfire
¬_¬
But just because its a CoD clone doesn't mean its terrible, don't get me wrong im sure they'll get round to fixing these issues with Xfire and SLI "armour modules" etc, but what won't change is the 6v6 matches on tiny maps with no vehicles, all so that the xbox can render it with its old hardware.
"Made for the PC" my arse
im angry because a game with so much potential has thrown away its uniqueness to pander to the masses of console gamers, whilst publically hyping the development of the PC version. Designing a game for a console on an engine and running that game on a PC does not mean it was developed for PC, its a console port (IMO) my theory is that if they really had bothered to develop for the PC they would have a demo with real graphical settings, and no "start" button, the hyped engine that can code for 3 platforms just means its less effort for them to port a game designed for an xbox onto the PC.

Still there is a small chance this is just PR gone mental and the PC version will be like a totally different game to the mediocre offerings of the console version, but i don't hold out much hope. I got a PC to get away from the endless CoD clones. ¬_¬

So Crysis 2 is just an example?

you will have to edit it to your liking? XD

Quoted from MyCrysis forums:

Answer me this, which of the following examples is constructive feedback?

A: F*** CRYTEK THIS GAME IS A PORT AND THE RUMOR IS YOU WON'T RELEASE DX11 EVEN THOUGH THERE'S NO PROOF I CANCELLED MY PREORDER YOU SCREWED THE PC GAMERS BY NOT MAKING ANOTHER BENCHMARKING TOOL!!!!11!eleventyone

B: The graphics settings have me slightly concerned, since I can't tweak them to fit my system. I don't like the inclusion of an aim assist in a PC demo. I'm not completely thrilled by the gameplay changes, they changed the pace of the game entirely. (Note, this last bit is NOT my opinion, merely a better way of putting it.)

Just chillax people and be grateful that they gave us a demo even if it was ported. Wait for the full release/review before judging and spamming negativity.

I played this for 2 hours yesterday. I liked it a lot. Just wish that I can get my pistol suppressor already.

Well, not that this is a vast difference in comparison to up to 32 players online. The PC version has 8v8 over consoles 6vs6. As far as the map sizes are concerned...it seems appropriate, seeing that this is taking place in the city. I'm sure there are larger maps than the 2 in the demo out of 12 available.....Vehicles?...who knows? http://www.multiplaygameservers.com/...vers/crysis-2/

Crysis Wars was fun but other than cloak the nanosuit functions went mostly unused. It also lacked a sense of direction.

Be grateful? if you don't like the demo don't "be grateful you got one", its meant to represent what the game will play like, if you didn't like it then you probably won't like the final game as it will be more of the same, why shouldn't you express that to the developers, if the demo is a shameless port you should cal it out (It is BTW ¬_¬) alright i'll give you the other complaints as well but i think you missed the point, this is not what you would expect from a game releasing on the PC I for one find it unacceptable to release a console port for a game supposedly developed for the PC, mild mannered remarks about the demo as if it werent a blatant half assed console port only support their actions by your own lack of objection, is this how you want to be treated as a PC gamer? Vote with your wallet, words are cheap, but they need to know why you didn't like their game if anythings going to change, anger filled messages aren't nice and please try to keep it cool, but they get the job done.

You should be grateful for a demo because these days most developers do not even release one. Because of the shameless abuse hurled at the game before it is even released. Constructive feedback is fine, but not "OMG This games is CryDerp", "Press Start what were they thinking the whole game is a bad port f*ck you Crytek you consolised our whole game". Just be civil and keep it cool.

The DEMO is a straight console port, but we cannot say whether the actual game is a port until that is released. Just give them a chance. You don't have to pre-order(I haven't) but you don't have to bash them in every thread either.

And since when was Crysis known for its MP? I thought it was gonna be judged on the SP campaign mainly. They just revamped the MP and a lot of people are impressed by the changes. Calling it a 'COD clone' does not make it any less fun.

Or would you prefer that the next big game does what all modern games do now; bribe you with flashy trailers and make up a bad excuse for not releasing a demo, then let you buy it first only to discover that you were sold a sack of *****? See reason.

i agree contructive feedback is what you should give back, however again i'm not saying crysis 2 will be a bad console port it's the very fact it was a console port, a demo is a demonstration of a game to convince you to buy it, all this has done is convince me it will be a badly done console port, and while i don't condone hate spam of it being a console port in final release, just yet, they haven't done much to stop this fear by releasing a comment such as "sorry for the console port we're just so busy working on the PC version", the "push start" just invokes the image of a greedy corporation that doesnt give a rats arse what PC gamers think when the front menu of their official demo is not even given consideration. How long would it have taken to change that menu at the start? 2 minutes? ...

"Greedy corporation"; This is what makes me think that some people are living in the clouds. What do you expect? All companies are sales driven.

They are an entertainment company, they don't make games -simply- for fun. Just like Cadbury's does not make chocolate to satisfy your sweet tooth. They do it to make a profit, like all businesses. As there are millions of other gamers to satisfy, lets be pleased that they have listened to a few of the communitys personal requests.

They could have created an original MP that attracts a large fanbase and has tons or replay value. Its either they go all out and dedicate a team to build a MP strong enough to compete in sales to COD, Battlefield and Halo. Or they just replicate a proven formula to boost sales for a game that will be forgotten as soon as the next COD comes around. Nothing wrong with that as long as they provide us with what we need.

The release of the demo has made me ashamed of some members of the PC community that have set out on a smear campaign fueled by speculation because they feel it is their God given right to have a PC exclusive that can max out their £3000 rigs.
