Now give me a second advice please.

What do i have to choose? Q6600 or 955 ?
I dont hunt performance, i hunt quiet PC. I have a crap cooling system, so my 955 box fan is running at 100% speed 24/7. In that case Q6600 is better, it is more quiet.

I know that i will lose performance, but i dont play such games that need high core speeds.

My computes is like a heater, it can heat a whole room. It is very hot in my room all the time. And when i give my GPU fan more speed, it is making very loud noise. My parents are always afraid of it.

If i want more performance, i will think about getting a Q9550

Your computer will probably be idle more then it would be loaded.

The phenom takes roughly 125w at idle
The Q6600 takes roughly 147w at idle
The Q9550 takes roughly 148w at idle

So realistically you're actually going to be using a lot MORE power by making the switch.

This, those figures make no sense

if the q6600 is quieter, use it since you dont care about performance. as for the temps, theyll probably be about the same as your current rig unless you use a different, lower TDP GPU.

The CPU isn't quieter, the cooler is. My stock fan never went above 50%, and you only have 200Mhz on me, 100% seems a little high...I'd keep what you have and get an aftermarket heatsink to make it even quieter

If you want a quieter computer, buy a good cooler that can run with a quiet fan on a low rpm.

If you want a *really* quiet PC, go and get yourself a passive cooler. Don't buy a new chip just to make it quieter. That's your fan, not the chip itself.

Thanks for help
After 2 hours of messing with 2 computers i finally set up a system.
My PC is now 3x more quiet than it was with AMD CPU.

Now the main problem is my graphic card, which is the hottest part of my PC because of its little suctom fan. What were Gigabyte boys thinking about when building these cards? My card doesnt get enought air because the fan can´t work normally on low speed.

Should i buy a custom cooler?

You can slow your RAM down to let you go further, if you want to. How many phases does your motherboard have?

If you mean ram slots, then 4. If you didnt mean it, then i didnt understand you

Yes, i slowed my ram down and now i have 3.0GHz, i think it can go to 3.6, but i have a crappy cooling system and bad airflow, so i wont risk

Also, the Phenom II processor that you have is almost equal to the Q9550 anyway. Why would you want to sell most of your system for a processor that might not work with your board?

EDIT: All Core2 series processors are 64Bit.
They do not.....very very very few Q6600's get that high...
