Sat down at my comp this evening after it had been idle the entire day and heard the buzzing straight away after not hearing it for 2-3 days.. so it's not dependent on load and not the pci-e rails ;/

Might be a certain piece of hardware, or a combination of them. While a 3D game was running, I stuck my head to the PSU grille on my own HX750, but I couldn't hear anything abnormal. Just an extremely faint electrical hiss (which is normal anyways, might be the fan or an audible component from the power transform process) that's not at all audible from more than 10 cm away.

Aye, but I've ruled out the graphics card.. only thing left is the mobo and cpu.. and I've heard the sound with the case close and opened, both times it comes from the back of the case, straight from the psu

Was just wondering if it was something I should worry about.. just recently I had a psu die in my server and it took my mobo with it
