Good deal. I just returned my Canon XSI for this. Can't wait for some 1080p action Plus the lcd screen on this one is way higher res.

Is this really a good deal? Which kit would be recommended? I assume the 75-300mm doesn't have IS?
I wonder how this will be going on for. If I can sell my PS3 I will pick one of these up.

I would recommend the 55-250 IS kit as it covers similar range to the 75-300, but has IS for hand held shots.

Seems like only the $499 kit is available. With tax+shipping, it's more ~$550. You could get the same price with FS (still manufacturer refurbished) from Adorama. Just depends how much you miss the 2 gb card.

I'm not happy with video on my T1i - specifically, no good at shooting moving subjects as you have to focus manually. You can refocus but it sometimes drops out of focus pretty badly..

You're a bit out of luck there. All DSLRs that I'm aware of have either manual-only focusing on their video or badly implemented autofocusing.

I heard the T2i was pretty decent.

It's a great photography camera and offers manual settings in video, but the AF is still not that great. Contrast AF, the same as I get on my 50D in Live View. It works, but hunts around a fair bit.
