from a good manufactor maybe , seasonic\\corsair\\antect\\xfx (since those PSUs tend to have maximum wattage 100-150 highter then whats written on the box) , well i guess u can squeez 6950 cf and ur cpu in that psu but not with a good overclock and certanly not if u unlock both 6950 to 6970 ...since 2 cards alone would eat up around 450-500w whats left for th rest of ur system (hdds case fans odds+overclocks) ?

The PSU you have picked will be fine for Xfire on the 6950's. It WOULDN'T however be fine for SLi GTX570's.

You'll be golden, it's a nice rig and the Cougar PSU's are actually rather respectable.

single 6950 draws 225w , 6950 unlocked to 6970 draws 257w , double that and add 5% for cf configuration and u get around 550w power draw under full load , now with a 125w CPU , couple of case fans 1 hdd and 1 odd he may just fit the cf in this 700w PSU but he'll be pushing it , besides hes gonna need an overclock for CPU to 3.6-3.8 Ghz and a little overclock for north bridge and ram in order for his CF setup not to get bottlenecked , so id say 750w good PSU for the minimum and 850w recommended for future CF setup in mind . for single card just grab a 550-600w PSU for 50-60 bucks and call it a day

Well, not really planning to unlock the card(s) to 6970, so there we go for the 700W

How do you guys feel about the ASUS VH236H 23" monitor?

I've seen that quite a few people have them and they would seem rather reliable...

My recommendation:
Stay with 955 + 6950 combo
Get Zalman CNPS10X same price
Get this memory $34 after 15% promo code DM15A02US
Get this power supply Antec Truepower New 750W
Use a board with 8+2 power phase for 125W/overclocking; i.e. ASUS M4A79XTD EVO

, has free shipping - I have two of these, they're actually very fast for Win7 boot
CM 690 II basic at $80 shipped is a very very poor case fro the price. For slightly lower, K58W is much better, or step up and spend $10 more and get NZXT Tempest EVO $90 shipped.

Well why not get the Corsair 750tx, it is SLI certified, and it is well Corsair. The price in Canada right now is 110-130$. You can find it second hand for 80$ or less on overclock in trade section!

Just popped in Microcenter today and bought me a CM 690 II Advanced and a Hyper 212+ on the cheap. Nothing else was really worth it, though. Gonna get the ASUS board xd_1771 recommended.

Gonna order everything tomorrow for sure
