i3 520UM vs Core 2 Duo SU7300 - Page 3

I don't care about quality. I play on lowest settings (except for 1080p) on my desktop.

I just care if the m11x's screen makes it hard to play competitively.

Well, I would say it doesn't. But I just play SC2 for fun.

Oh. Hmmm.

On the other hand, I could get a 15.6" Sager with much better specs for about $100 more.

Does XoticPC charge tax in New York?

In such a strong dilemma. Need good build quality and aesthetics and decent specs.

M11x has nice build quality but bad specs.. and a too-small screen. Sager has the best of everything except build quality.

I think I'm looking for an HP Envy 14 on sale... should have bought it last time it was on sale for $900 with an i7 and radiance screen!

You could go with the M15X, but personally I wouldn't go Alienware again.

Have you looked at Asus? You can probably get much better performance without paying for the Alienware name.

ASUS is on the same boat as Sager, IMO. Both give the best specs for the price but have unattractive looks. An HP Envy 17 is probably more portable than a 15.6" Sager or ASUS.

Ever hear about the hinge issue with the M11x's? Not much use if the body looks great and is sturdy but the screen is falling off.

Sager's are generally pretty sturdy and besides, build quality isn't something to agonize over unless you're OCD about the occasional creak or mobo flex if you like lifting it up by a corner.

Get a Sager or even a ASUS from XoticPC, they have 2 things Dell will never have:

1. Quality Laptop's.

2. Customer service that is... oh I'd say 2 thousand times better than Dell's.
