My budget is set at more or less $70 and thought an open box motherboard from newegg would be an good bet. The only problem is there are a lot of choices and would appreciate it if some of you could toss me a couple of suggestions.

I don't need all the bells and whistles but would like to be able to do a modest OC of say 3.8GHz and since the card is long don't want the sata connectors to be blocked.

Link to open box AM3 motherboards. Thanks for any help.

I purchased an open box motherboard about 3 days ago from Newegg. It came next day with three day shipping. It worked perfectly, except that it was missing the sata cables and an IO shield.

They claim to test the merchandise and verify that it's in working condition before they mail it. I haven't had a problem yet.

Some solid looking boards you guys linked. Getting off work in a few I'll take a closer look at them when I get home, thanks again.

I'm leaning this way. The 4+2 power phse doesn't worry me all that much with a quad...plus having that 2nd PCIe slot would make an interesting PII x4, GTX 200 series, GTS 200 series folder (I'm not a fan of mixing Fermi and non, had issues OC'ing)
