Anything I should do about p67 recall?

Thread Starter
So, I know that new P67 boards won't be in stock for a while now, but is there anything I should be doing now? i.e is there anywhere I need to register? Newegg seems to be all over the issue, but they were sold out of the board I wanted, and I had to buy from Amazon.

Will there just be an announcement when the new boards are available and they begin doing swaps, or is there anything I should be doing now to be eligible? Thanks

Hi.

If you have the motherboard in your sig in your possession and you purchased it from Newegg, you ought to have a recieved an e-mail regarding your purchase.

If you did get the motherboard from Newegg and you have not received an e-mail stating that your return policy has been extended, then I would contact the Eggs Customer Service and make sure that you get a confirmation that your return/exchange will be honored.

[edit]

I received an e-mail from the Egg stating that my return/exchange policy had been extended to 90-days or until replacement motherboards are available (whichever is longer).

Unfortunately my motherboard was the only piece I didn't get from newegg =( They were out of stock and I bought from Amazon. I haven't received an email from Amazon, though. Should I try to get in touch with them, or maybe Asus?

Asus stated if you are in america or canada they will do a premium service of sending you the board and you can email them your old one back within 15 days if you register, not sure bout the rest of the world....

15 days? I've missed that. I went ahead and registered on ASUS' website-they had a page dedicated to the chipset issue- they must still be facilitating returns if they are accepting registrations about the issue, right?

The processors themselves never left..it's the motherboards that have the issues and as far as I can tell they are not back anywhere yet

That article won't come up for me =( I can click it but it just goes to a blank page- "News List." Are you able to read it? When will/did they begin shipping?
