Definitive fix for wired xbox 360 controller and other gamepads in Devil May Cry 3

This solved the frustrating problem where the sticks were switched in Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, namely movement on the right and camera on the left. Paste the following into the DMC3SE.ini file in the game directory. Remember proper spacing and placement.

#----------------------------------------------------------------------
[Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)]
START = 7
SELECT = 6
CIRCLE = 1
TRIANGLE = 3
SQUARE = 2
CROSS = 0
L1 = 4
R1 = 5
L2 = 11
R2 = 12
L3 = 8
R3 = 9
L<->R = 1

If this does not work, and you are using windows 7, go to control panel -> devices and printers -> controller (bring up context menu) -> game controller settings, and replace "Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)" with exactly what is said under the controller column. For example, possibly -as I do not own one- "PLAYSTATION 3 Controller" if you have a ps3 or dualshock 3 controller set up on your pc.

#----------------------------------------------------------------------
[PLAYSTATION 3 Controller]
START = 7
SELECT = 6
CIRCLE = 1
TRIANGLE = 0
SQUARE = 3
CROSS = 2
L1 = 4
R1 = 5
L2 = 11
R2 = 12
L3 = 8
R3 = 9
L<->R = 1

^Since xbox does four main face button order as a>b>x>y and, based on memory of a dualshock 2, ps follows triangle>circle>cross>square. Not positive. Experiment.

I believe this works for any gamepad, as long as it is recognized by your operating system. Make sure to test which number the buttons are, subtract one from each, and replace the values given here with their appropriate counterparts. >_> Or leave out that subtraction step if problems arise. I think it stems from the xbox/playstation logo button lacking any in-game function.

The L<->R value denotes wich sticks are used for movement and camera.
L<->R= 0 is the problem child with left stick camera right stick movement.
L<->R= 1 is for the standard left stick movement right stick camera.
