^ if u can deal with less FPS in games take it. The CPU wont help in any way in games nor will the ram though.

And if you can afford another gtx 560/470 along the line definitely take it.

Okay, firstly, stop ragging on XFX. They have learnt from their mistakes. Most if not all of their cards are now reference designs and they sell some very respectable PSU's.

Secondly, Palit & Gainward are the WORST GPU makers I've ever had to deal with. Never EVER EVER buy anything from them ever again.

My Palit GTX 460 Sonic Platinum was not stable at it's OC clocks or stock GTX 460 clocks, due to the lack of VRM cooling I suspect.

Their support is laughable. They offer no RMA service unless you bought the card from their site and you live in America.

At least XFX provide RMA's and outside of one country I might add. I'd rather it take a while and still have support than have no support and a dodgy GPU.

I don't know man. More games are optimised for quadcores, and the i7 is, after all, newer and better than the C2Q.

You bougt a card that wasn't wat you expected, but didn't look into it before buying. Don't really see how this is Gainward's fault. I don't think you should dismiss them so easily, my 570 Pantom kicks ass

And you didn't know this? Most GTX 460s and 560s are actully non-reference, and Palit/Gainward only make non-ref 460s and 560s along with GTX 465s and the rest of the 500 series (there are some reference models too). Shoter PCB = good for HTPC. Its also cheaper for them, and it doesn't really need heatsinks over VRMs since the air can cool them well. Nothing really wrong, and the "warranty void if removed" sticker is on most cards nowadays. Not exactly Gainward's fault. next time read up some reviews of the perticular card so you're not so "surprised".

Indeed good sir. Just a shame Palit/GW don't make AMD cards anymore. The 700 Deluxe 4870x2 was awesome.

Gainward GTX 570 Golden sample is probably* the best 570 around. Stupid thread, you should have researched better.
