True, but the Gigabyte card is worth it. Much better components, comes 1Ghz stock and is binned. you can also adjust memory voltage as well as core. Its the only OCed card i'd buy tbh.

Binned? How is that?
Better components? Can you explain?
1ghz stock is my problem with the card... it doesn't leave an awful lot of overclocking headroom for free performance.

What do you expect? It's 40nm. =P

What do you mean? Are you trying to say that a 40nm won't overclock well?
Cause thats not my point. My point is that I'd rather OC a reference card to 1000mhz instead of buying a 1000mhz stock card.

How many GTX 560s that can hit 1Ghz with "stock" voltage? The Gigabyte card is by far the best one of the lot. All i'm saying is If i was in the market for a 560 I would look at the Gigabyte card first.

^That on stock volts is awesome.

Are you saying that the gigabyte card is reaching 1ghz on the same as other 560's use for 825mhz?!

I just purchased a reference GTX 560 ti made by Gainward.... or at least that's what I thought. Turns out the standard clocked, relatively standard looking Gainward card is anything but standard.

Here's the difference:
- The PCB itself is 2,5-4cm shorter than the regular PCB
- The PCB is RED?!?!?!
- No cooling whatsoever for the VRM or RAM
- "Warranty void if removed" sticker is covering one of the gpu cooler screws... that really disappointed me.

On the bright side, it does earn me 12,5k ppd on my GPU-3 client

Anyway, I am definitely returning this next week, in exchange for a eVGA 560.

Just wanted to warn you guys that you should stay away from Gainward GTX 5xx cards.

you didn't buy a Reference card

I planning on getting the Palit GTX 560 2Gb model. It comes with an extra Gig of memory and said to overclock very easily. Is the extra Gb of memory worth the non-reference red PCB? I will be playing games like GTA IV that are said they are only playable maxed out with 2GB of ram
