I always buy boxed, as I have a severely limited internet connection.

well if you got some decent internet download speeds you can get steam.
for box i would say for games that you are collecting or want to add hacks and such so you get a different gameplay whether it be ammo or w/e
also get steam if you got the hd space

bad company 2 if your into FPS. Once you go steam you will never go back. it is way to convenient to not use it. the only reason i buy a hard copy of a game is if i absolutely love it and want the box and disk for a collectible reason.

edit: like godofdeath said get the hard copy if you play games like oblivion or something that have a lot of down-loadable mods

Personally HATE steam, never bought a game from steam online, but bought boxed ones using steam "protection"
Which means You download a program, "steam".... took me 5 days to figure out why the download wouldnt work, steam doesnt like wireless routers in some cases, any router.

Problems with hardware, telling my me codes fake... neeeding to be on the net to play games.

I think its a good idea, but badly played out.

steam.

if you have a fast connection it'll make your gameplay so much better.

auto updates, community features, times how many hours you've done, awesome sales, light client, and no discs inside your drive in order to play.

Steam is the way to go.

Usually when you see someone hatin on Steam means they are bad.. there's nothing wrong with Steam, steam sales are really nice too.

Ive just had bad experience, had to take a game back, because steam REFUSED to install on my windows 7 64 bit, saying it didnt recognise my system, and it was outdated.

Like what?

And no, my system is legit so thats not why.

Do Mods for games such as Oblivion not work if you get the game through steam?

I use steam because it's less hassle with disks although in the past I have brought disks because they're cheaper sometimes. Such as COD BO was on sale before release on Amazon.co.uk for £10.99 if you pre-order a week before, but you had to pay for P&P (PC only).
