I remember when I first ordered the case. Every little issue that needed to be addressed, quite frankly was addressed at a ridiculous rate. When I say that, I mean that Jim addressed the issue so FAST that I didn't believe it. You would NEVER get that from ANY other company. Literally I had an issue with the motherboard sliding tray and he designed, engineered, and sent it out within 2 days. His attention to detail and care for the customer is impeccable at least.

As for the new top, does that require ordering a new case or just a new part? Since you're looking at creating a larger extended top (I'm not exactly sure the dimensions for a ThermoChill 120 with fans), I may just order what I can now and if that comes out, snag it later.

@ez: The reason I can't mount the reservoir bay is because the radiator is currently blocking the top 2 5.25" bays and I have an optical and fan controller in the remaining 2.
Ohh, OK. Since you have the first run case, I guess you just need to trim any space open for your rad ports. Once you get it to clear and sit on top fine, you just needs to make sure your bolts will run through the fan, case and thread onto the rad. I found the hardware I needed from McMasterCarr online. As for the extended top, I believe you just order it from Jim and clip it on. No changes from what I know.

Yeah I would assume the extended top is just like the current top; it just clips in.

Sorry to be confusing but I was talking about the top UNDERNEATH that top, which has the mount for the radiator and such. I was wondering if I need to order an entirely new case in order to have the enlarged mount, or if I can order another "inside" top as I will refer to it for now?

Ahh, I don't think that's a separate panel. Its part of the case structure. I'm not saying it can't be done, but I don't think you want to drill out the rivets to remove it and I'm sure Jim would cringe if you did, LOL! You would be better off with a Dremel and bit to cut the top panel. That's what I did, but you'd have to take everything out, as metal dust will be everywhere.

The frame is an integrated assembly, so there isn't really any way to replace the top section without disassembling the whole thing which would be a tricky job (we fixture them here when they are assembled). Werds came up with pretty slick way to add the holes for the barbs in his build, but I know you're not a big fan of drilling

That's fine, Jim.

That's what I figured anyways. Will be contacting you about this soon!

I am so happy I found this, I was considering the Corsair 800D and have looked at Mountain Mods, but didn't see anything that was a great fit for what I want to do. The M8 looks perfect for my planned Bulldozer build this fall that's going to be my first crack at a fully water cooled setup. I'll be in contact towards the end of summer to figure out the specifics of what I'm going to need.

Absolutely amazing. I haven't seen anything else that is even close to the quality and flexibility of Case Labs. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.

I already have! A friend of mine at work was oggling the Mountain Mods cases and I showed him this thread. He'll probably be a bit farther off, but I'm betting he'll end up going this route too. Unfortunately most of the people I know that would build their own system generally are cheaper in places like a case, but I've had cases that last for 5 years through 3+ near total rebuilds, so to me a great build needs a great home. This might even be the last case I get for my main rig for a long, long time.
