Found Q-Fan, thanks.

I don't seem to have an LLC setting in my BIOS.

LLC= Load-line Calibration. In short, it keeps your processor voltage constant under load. Not so much lately.

Nah, doesn't appear to exist on my Gigabyte board.

Turning off Q-fan helped my temps at bit, though the fans are a little loud at 2000rpm. Ah well.

BTW, for my own peace of mind, let me attach my hwmon while priming...

Which TMPINx would you say corresponds to the NB and which to the CPU socket? I've heard conflicting opinions on this. TMPIN1 doesn't seem to be high enough to cover the reported Thuban core temp underestimating, however I've also heard the NB on some of these motherboards can run quite hot. So is TMPIN1 the CPU and TMPIN2 the NB, or the other way around?

If TMPIN1 is the CPU, I'm actually feeling pretty ok about my temps right now. If not, something's still wrong.

Your CPU will idle @ 1.43V instead of 1.54V
Okay, I don't know what I did wrong the first time but you were right. I am sitting at 1.42 in BIOS, 1.44 idle, and 1.47 under load. 51C temp max. D'oh. Repped.
