50mm fan spinnig 2700RPM? that will sound like jet engine

none better CPU heatsink has cooling of MOFSET,RAM etc and all MB are just fine so why add this stupid little fan.

edit: D14 has cooling of MOFSET because 14cm fan can be placed lower
maybe SA can cool mofset same way

Like my uncle always says...can't tell with the lights off, so long as it gets the job done.

Long as it cools better and is cheaper its a win to me. I was thinking of upgrading to 1155 once they start selling the new boards. Lets hope we see some benchmarks by then.

It's a 50mm fan, you can't compare it to larger ones. An average 80mm fan at 1500rpm has and equal sound pressure as a 120mm fan at 900rpm. (According to SPCR's tests).
Considering the fan size/rpm/dB curve is not linear, i'd say a 50mm at 2700 equals an average 120mm fan at 800-1000rpm. But you really shouldn't compare rpms since the sound pressures of a 120mm fan at 1100rpm and some other 120mm at 800 might be the same, not to mention their CFM!
