WoW in eyefinity having stretching issues to the other 2 monitors

Thread Starter
Ok so I have been looking around everywhere trying to find an answer for this but have not come across one yet. Perhaps one of you experts might be able to help me out!

First of all. eyefinity works perfectly fine for me. everything works as it should except for the 2 side monitors. they work in eyefinity mode but the problem is that the stretching from the primary to the other 2 monitors isnt the same as my primary. the resolution seems to be bigger than the primary monitor. is this normal?? or can i fix it? I looked at some other vids of people playing WoW in eyefinity and Im pretty the resolution is the same across all 3 monitors. I also have the latest ATI catalyst drivers and I'm using 3 HP 2511x 25 inch LED monitors. could the size of my monitors make a difference on how the resolution in game will be if it doesnt scale correctly?? or does that not matter?

I would really appreciate an answer for this or any help! I am desperate and would love to try and fix this some how.

Thanks in advance guys!

You are going to get some fish-eyeing but I'm not sure if that's the problem you are describing. Can you take some screenshots so we can see?

It probably the game. Same thing happens in source games I think. I dont have eyefinity but I understand that some games stretch on the side of the screen when there is only one monitor so when you have three you see the stretching go to a further extreme on the side monitors. Its because of the FOV setting in the game. (feild of vision)

What games are you playing, and have you optimized the in-game field of view for your expanded resolution?

Which is why you find an .ini config file and alter the field of view from 75* to 135*+ wink.gif

Varies with the game of course. And some idiot publishers lock the FOV in their console-port games. I'm looking at YOU BioWare and your Mass Effect series.

Well unfortunately this is how both in game and REAL LIFE optics work. You have a huge field of vision. That result in stretching of the image on the far sides. A real life wide angle camera would also have this effect. In fact, even 4:3 displays do this. It's just not as noticiasble.

This is NOT something that ATi can fix with a driver update. This is NOT a glitch in your drivers. This is something that you will have to deal with. It's how it goes. The only way to fix it is to change to FOV to something lower, making you see LESS.. Sorry. That's how it goes.

There is no fix to this problem aside from making you see less by reducing FOV. It's how all games scale field of view. Live with it.

I've never played WOW, wouldn't know. Check the graphics settings. Is it there? There might also be a graphics settings file somewhere that has FOV in it.

If neither is true, you probably won't be able to change the FOV at all...
