how many 120mm fans do you have? how is the airflow and thermal environment inside the mobo side of the case? And does the front of the non-mobo side NOT support a rad?

i'm specing out some parts now and i'm having a hard time with the ~18 fans at $20 a piece. 300 some dollars on _fans.

i'm mulling over:
intake or exhaust fans on the bottom. is this a good idea or a waste and just dust..
push pull out the top on both sides
push pull on the front if a rad works there
push pull on the hds blowing out of the front instead of across the mobo.
those 4 little fans on the back or the solid plate

i'm trying to plan for two separate loops. 2x360mm 2X pumps and maybe 2xdual bay res... idk what i really need and what i'll actually end up with. i kind of just want to get it over here and figure it out. whats nice is you can always do it additevely. I dont like the idea of mixing cpu and gpu temps in the same liquid system. I think adding the 2 gpus would just make my cpu hotter

you should get that extended top and throw some fans on the top of those rads

Push pull isn't really necessary; and you can always go with Yate Loons for ~$5 each; or get in on the GT-2150 group buy here on OCN (AP-21's for ~$8-9).

Dual loops aren't really necessary, you'd see maybe 2-3C increase in CPU temp max. In a high-flow, well-radiated loop, the effects are negligible at best, as someone who had a dual loop system, I'd say it's not worth it- I just switched to one big loop (see log in my sig).

As to the case itself, no experience with the M8 (yet....) so I can't help you there.

Sorry mate, been a busy week!

The case itself, allowing room for 4 optical drives, TECHNICALLY has room for

2x120mm front left
3x120mm front right
3x120mm top left (on radiator)
3x120mm top right (on radiator)
3x120mm bottom right (I don't use these)
3x120mm bottom left (I don't use these)
1x120mm back

There's an additional piece that fan mounts can be mounted on and placed inside the case. It allows:

3x120mm vertical mount (I bought this and was going to use 1 fan but it didn't work with my loop)

So total right now I am using 12x120mm GTs. Which is plenty in my opinion. I didn't put fans on the bottom because I have a carpeted room that get's quite dirty and I thought it would suck up all the hair and such on the floor which wouldn't be good for me.

A radiator will not fit on the front unless you mount it yourself. Though I wouldn't put a vertical radiator anyways.

I have 3x40mm fans in the back. I think they do great. My front fans are all intake, and they do a fabulous job. The radiators are push and it keeps my CPU at 10-20C idle, and GPUs at 25-35C. The back fans are exhaust but only set at 50% to maintain some type of pressure system within the case. Ambient temps are about 23C although my room gets up to 27-29C with my window and door shut (yeah, it gets hot in here).

I like it a lot. The case is fabulous and has upgrades for anything you'll ever need. But it's your rig, you should do it your way and you'll be most happy with it, guaranteed!

Also, only reason I didn't get the radiator top is because it won't fit under my desk with it ^_^. Fits perfect right now!

Welp I'm back!

And here's my list of things to do :

First things first, it appears as if there is plasticizer leaching into the reservoir (POOP) which forms a disgusting yellowish residue at the waterline in the reservoir. I tried to clean it, but it's quite difficult to apply pressure inside of a cylinder. My tubing was Tygon black laboratory tubing. You know what this means? Ordered 10' of Tygon 2001 model "high-purity" tubing which is supposedly designed not to leach plasticizer. Downfall of this???

IT'S CLEAR! So this is going to change the interior look of my case, though I am excited about it as everything inside is black so this might actually look better. Any suggestions are welcome!

I would love to do more modding but I use this rig on a daily basis and multiple hours a day so I don't really want to swap anything around, which is unfortunate.

However, I WOULD like to take up the art of soldering and slice and dice up all the wires in there. I'm sick of them being held on by electrical tape because they're so long and bulky.

If anyone could post some type of guide on how to solder (as I've never ever done it or anything like it) I would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much!

I'd go for some Primochill or Feser black tubing if you don't want to go clear.

I also want to pick up soldering, I've got a bunch of fans that I should do...

Thanks for your build log, it has help me tried to decide on which case to go with. I was stuck between this one with the extend top and the T10. Love you system. I can't wait to get my case in and get my build redone.
How is coming on the cable management.

Hi. How do you take apart the gen Ty. Fans to paint. I don't want to break them while taking them apart cause they are very hard to find.
