Recording sound in FRAPS

This program has given me an insane amount of problems lately.... but I'll try to fix it again...

Sound is not recorded in games, I've tried checking "detect best sound input" and "use windows input," and neither of them works. The recording sound bar is up all the way, and yet I here absolutely no sound at all.

I was browsing through google, and a few people in forums said that they had to change the audio settings from microphone to stereo. Anyone know how to do that? Thanks.

Do you have Windows 7? I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct, but you might have to enable Stereo Mix.

1. Click the Start Button, type "MMSYS.CPL" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter.

2. On Recording tab, right-click on the blank area

3. Check “Show Disabled Devices” and “Show Disconnected Devices” and the Stereo Mix should show up.

If it is disabled, right click on it and choose Enable.

No, I'm using windows xp. MMSYS.CPL opens up, but there's no recording tab.
