Have you tried WOW and dislike it? - Page 4

I haven't seen someone give WoW a real chance who didn't like it. That's like saying you played BC2 for the first mission, then stopped, because you didn't like having to click to shoot your gun, (or like some of the people in here, go into a hardcore server and get raped by 50th ranked people) lol. If people would really give it a week of play, then I think they would begin to enjoy it. I found a guild right away that had people around my lvl who were more then happy to join me in lvling.

Tried Lineage II once, easily one of the worst game I've ever played. I'll never try another MMORPG again.

I never did try it out of fear that I would like it. When in I was in college there were a few guys who did nothing but play WoW and I probably be exactly the same if I started.

Lineage II had the worst grinding ever. But the pvp, castle sieges, ganking / griefing was epic.

Meh, PvP on most MMO's are dependent on how long the person spent getting gear for their character and aren't based on skill. The only balanced PvP I know of is DCUO. A level 8 can beat a level 30 now that's what I call balanced. The lowbie is not left helpless. That's why I like FPS better, a lot more balanced nobody is going to be better because they have better gear or higher level. The winning portion is dependent on the person's skill in how they can handle weapons, their strategy, and teamwork.

Battlefield 3 here I come!

Levels don't matter in BC2, the only advantage anyone has with levels is weapon unlock. Even then you could kick so much ass with the default starting weapons. But if you rely purely on weapon unlocks then it's a crutch for you. Just don't expect to beat people who have 700+ hours on BC2, and yes some even have 2,000+ hours logged on BC2. Don't let the levels fool you, some people are 50 and they're still terrible players. Being level 50 could mean they just play a lot, doesn't mean they're good players.

Incredibly smart. There's no reason to start playing WoW at this point, unless you just turned 13 and got your curfew extended so that you can play videogames later into the night and have no real responsibilities.

I installed 1/2 of it and deleted the trial, thinking that: 12 dollars a month would be a waste and 11-12GB would also be a waste.

Smell that???? Oh yeah, it's bull****. You've obviously never pvp'd at a high rating if you think gear is what wins matches. This thread can be summed up as so: "TL;DR: I sucked at wow, therefore wow sucks. my grasp of logic is UNMATCHED"

Edit: Ugh, I didn't read the second half of this, but it's even more retarded than I thought. So, you don't like WoW and MMOs because they're not first person shooters? Nice. If I want to play Battlefield... I'll play battlefield.

If it was modern and had guns I would like it. Elfs, dragons, swords ect....is just goofy to me. Probably why I couldn't stay awake during any of the Lord of the Rings movies.
