can,t get pass 4.7

it seem i can.t over clock pass 4.7 on my set up.
trying for 5 ghz . i tryed a core volt of 1.41
and windows will frezz on the logon screen

but if i run the asus auto tune i can get 5.2 ghz but my core volt is like 4.6

Did you say a core volt of 4.6?

Try going up a Multi or two and use a little less BCLK

With a 2600k (and any Sandy Bridge chip), your base clock is limited to ~10MHz total change. I doubt it will help much to lower/raise it.

no 1.46 with auto tune but most guys say auto tune is unsafe

IMO anything above 1.38v is unsafe for that processor.
Unless you really want to do a suicide run, I recommend that you back the CPU down to 4.2GHZ or less.

Is there any real reason that you're trying to push it?

then why do you see guy with a o/c of 4.8 to 5 ghz anf the core volt in from 1.48 to 1.5 volts for 24.7.
look at the volts

No offensive, but don't give out bad information if you don't know anything about this architecture.

OP: Enable PLL overvoltage and 5ghz is cake. I couldn't boot over x47 multiplier w/o PLL overvoltage enabled.

i really do find it strange that we are back to 65nm voltages with 32nm...
