Laptop Cooling thermal Pads

Everyone is familiar with the fan based cooling pads for laptops but has anyone ever really tried the Thermal Pads. using no fans or power.? Like one of these:


If anyone has experience with these, please let me know on your feedback.

Waste of money. All it does is raise your laptop.. Just think about it for a second. Assuming your laptop only gets crazy hot on your desk, just take 4 erasers and prop up each corner, it will help almost as much as this passive cooler..
