Athlon II X4 630 2.8GHz OC'ing - Page 2

CPU/NB should be no more than 1.45v. My experience is that is not usually needed to get stability.

CPU volts and NB Frequency seem to be the bigger players in getting stability on AMD.

I realized that, but its useful because I can easily run 1600 with an oc on relatively tight timings (9-9-9-24-40-1T). As for CnQ, I think I'll just go as high as I can go with it on, because I want to keep it.

Just tried this; same problem still, IBT shows it putting out more GFLOPS, but it fails on the second run with 0x0000124 every time. Which part's falling down here? Is it my RAM (running at 1462MHz when the mobo is specced to run at 1333MHz)?

Also what temps are okay? I'm on a lapped AMD stock cooler (Hyper TX3 will be here soon) with an idle of 35*c and load of 65*c max, is this okay? I'm used to my 5000+ idling at 50*c still

Cheers

Still no go above 3.61GHz, what's all the memory DCT 0/1/Both stuff all about? Something to fiddle with?

I hit a wall on my 620 at 282*13. No amount of V Core up to 1.55V broke it.

9-9-9-24 is nowhere near tight/low though... you'll want to be at 7-8-7 or so at 1600Mhz, with a 2000Mhz kit. Or better.

Back to 3.2GHz with the same settings everywhere else, locking up on prime after about 5 minutes now

I'll try and figure out how to slack off the timings lol.

EDIT: Now at 7-8-7-20 1633MHz 1.65v.

On Sun 13/02/2011 13:47:53 GMT your computer crashed

crash dump file: C:\\Windows\\Minidump\\021311-16317-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: hal.dll (hal+0x12903)
Bugcheck code: 0x124 (0x0, 0xFFFFFA800554D028, 0xB269C000, 0x175)
Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
file path: C:\\Windows\\system32\\hal.dll

Always, and I mean every time I get this same error after a few very stable hours of prime, no "Worker stopped" or anything, just that. Guessing that's RAM or volts?
