3rd GTX 470

Thread Starter
So i just ordered my 3rd EVGA gtx 470 for tri-sli. I figured i would tell the world cause im stoked! . I've had sli on many rigs for about 4 years or so now, and this is my first soon-to-be tri-sli rig. It will also be my first gpu water cooled setup. I'm hoping it will get me through this DX11 era before i have to upgrade again for DX12.....whenever that happens^^ I ordered some koolance 470 blocks to go with them as well as a new 250mm EK-MultiOption RES X2 advanced reservoir. The coolant will be feser uv orange with white tubing. Also ordered some white 12" pci-e extensions that are already sleeved (murdermod way). If they come out okay, i'll prolly be ordering the cpu 8-pin and 24 pin extensions as well. The white cathodes are also going to be changed out with the nzxt sleeved white led strip, hopefully giving it a cleaner look. Here's a pic of what it looks like now..

I ordered a black ice 92mm radiator to go in the back of the tj07 to help with the cooling, as I only have a 360 in the top, which will be doing the brunt of the cooling. I originally planned on stuffing a 480 in the bottom but when sandy bridge-e or ivy bridge comes out, ill be rebuilding and putting it all in a new case anyway. Hopefully everything gets here by the end of next week if not the following week. I'll follow up with some pics when it all gets here. Throw me some suggestions if you got any. Sorry if it sounded like a rant >.>

UPDATE: So here's the total list of what i've ordered:
Xeon 3550 3.06ghz processor
3RD EVGA GTX 470
3x Koolance 470 water blocks /w sli fittings
XSPC DFI UT x58 full coverage water block
92mm Black Ice Gtx radiator
250mm EK-MultiOption RES X2 advanced reservoir
Mips Ram cooler 6 "corsair edition" (for looks not functionality)
Feser UV orange coolant
Feser White tubing
Bunch more bitspower fittings
Single sleeved pci-e extensions x6
arctic cooling mx-3 thermal paste
NZXT sleeved white led strip
some UV cold cathodes
Spare 360mm rad i had in a diff computer.

I think thats it for now...I didnt realize xspc made the full coverage water block for this board so i ordered some ek nb and sb blocks and a mips mosfet block..then of course i found the full coverage block lol. So now im gunna have water blocks all over, not knowing what to do with them all haha. In any case im hoping for a really high binned 3550 to get a really nice 4.2ghz+ overclock with. I'm so sick of being stuck at 3.8 with this c0 =/ Most of the parts should be here this week and deff all by next week. I'll keep the thread updated. Stay tuned!

Nice! Welcome to tri-sli.

I'm curious as to why you'd use uv dyed coolant and white tubing...especially since dyes only separate over time and muck up blocks.

Yea i really love the dfi boards. They're unfortunately not as main stream as the other boards due to lack of support and what not, which really sucks cause they have so much potential. And now because of those reasons they are out of the market.

Thanks! Yea tbh it was debatable on the coolant. As you can see i'm just using distilled water with the t-virus, because the helix's are already orange, but now it will just be an empty reservoir with the EK. So i figured i would show off a little bit of orange to go with the xigmatek fans. I ran uv blue feser with my older rig in an antec 1200 for about a year with this swiftech gtz, and tbh when i took it apart before assembling this rig, it really had no evidence of gunk inside the channels. I was actually quite astonished. I guess thats what you get for paying 20$ per 1000ml
