debian is not for the faint of heart

its a solid distro, their installer is a bit archaic, but at least they are trying

thats the point... its an enterprise class linux distro...

on the subject of debian, i really like crunchbang and its not too far of a stretch from the new debian release no reason to run vanilla debian imo, solid OS but the many children it has just make life easier

Arch?!?

I suggest Fedora. First, it includes Eclipse and a wide variety of Eclipse plugins; you can even select it during installation! Second, you won't have nearly the sharp learning curve at the beginning and you can move at a more reasonable pace. Third, it's based on Red Hat which is the dominant enterprise Linux, and the one you'll likely be encountering when you actually go to deploy.

More on Fedora Eclipse.

I got arch up and running and dual booting with windows 7. As much as I've learned and enjoyed setting up arch, I'm wondering if I should have chosen fedora. The more i read about it, the more convinced I get. That being said, I really am loving messing around in Arch. I'm not sure if I want to get rid of it and install Fedora after working on Arch the whole weekend, or if I should triple boot?

Honestly I do have the space to triple boot. I'm currently running Arch on a 250GB and Windows on a 500GB. In addition to that I have two more 500GB's and a 750GB. Plus I could add another 160GB, but probably won't. If I were to triple boot, I would probably just shrink my windows partition and add Fedora to that hdd. I just don't know if it's even worth triple booting or if I'd even have enough to do, to use all 3 systems.

The alternative would be to replace Arch with Fedora and run Arch on virtual box just for entertainment.

What does everyone think?

It's always good to try more distros. Triple booting is a good idea, in case you end up preferring Arch.

Another question. Whether I triple boot or not, should I use Fedora or Fedora Fusion? I know unexpectedly's vote.

I had not heard of Fedora Fusion, but I haven't tried Fedora very much. Still need to play with that and Gentoo.

i would suggest going with Fedora, as remixes can be done poorly or uses trickery to do things, that are incompatible with the way it is meant to be done. I've never tried fusion, but i'm pretty sure everything in fusion can be done with fedora, plus it is a better learning exp to do it yourself
