This sounds nice, but if you read my earlier posts, "setup free" isn't really what I want. That's part of the reason I installed Arch initially.

Personally I started on fedora and loved it. It was a good balance of ease of use, while still being able to play around on the command line. I then later moved to arch.

Either distribution will be fine for what you're looking for, but I'd try out fedora if I were you. It's well supported and all of the programs you are looking to use work wonderfully.

Looks like the main thing they do is to add in RPM Fusion, change some defaults, and install some stuff by default. Nothing you can't do yourself (see Linux Software Guide below) and you'll learn more by setting it up yourself.
