Coverting game footage

Thread Starter
I have some Mafia 2 footage I want to put on youtube but what program do you guys use to compress the video first?

What format is it now?

You don't really have to compress it anyway. I uploaded a 5-minute 1080p video to the 'tube once, and though it took a while (it re-encoded and compressed it itself for lower-quality viewing) it got through without me having to change it at all.

Try handbrake, its free and super easy to use. Its also multi core capable!
