So yeah, you can install 4 SATA hard drives on your motherboard. If they will fit in your case depends on how many 3.5" mounts are available. There are also 5.25" to 3.5" adapters so you can mount hard drives where the optical drives go.4 x SATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors, support NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug functions
but i already installed 1 dvd drive and 2 hdd's, what should i do? any help?Originally Posted by xandypx;12367116
4 internal SATA, 2 external e-sata. So 4 HDDs are possible. No optical drive unless you plug into one of the external ports.
If you have to have 4 HDDs, pop out an unused blank expansion slot from the back of the case, get a long e-SATA to SATA cable, and run the cable from the DVD optical drive, out the blank you removed, and plug into a rear panel e-SATA port. USB3 was done like that up until Intel standardized the USB 3.0 internal header standard.Originally Posted by robi11;12367287
