Dual Core E6700 3.2GHZ

hi guys i have a questions i dunno alot about overclocking , and i what to ask if i wil have a stable sistem if i try to overclock this procesor to 4.0

It all depends on the motherboard and cooler. what are you using to cool the CPU?

well i dont have a good cooler now but i what to get this one , +Arctic Cooling MX-4 4 grame

i have 1 more question , should i get and if any of them wil work to overclock on this main borad that i have im using my pc only for gaming ....thank you

core 2 quad Q6600 - 2,4 GHZ, 8 mb cache, FSB 1066
core 2 duo E8400 - 3GHZ, 6mb cache, FSB 1333

I had a golden E6700 that reached 3.8Ghz. That's pretty much the top end limit for this chip I'm afraid. 4Ghz is very, very rare.

The E8400 performs better in games, but the Q6600 has more processing power. I would personally go with the Q6600 to better future proof yourself.

thank you , but do u know if q6600 wil work with my main board? with no overclock

This is 45nm Pentium E6700.

Not 65nm Conroe E6700.

4.0GHz should easily be doable on this, yes?
