Capture card/Laserdisc Ripping

Thread Starter

So,I have a decent amount of Laserdisc's that I would like to clean up/ transfer to avi/mpeg and dvd.
Not sure how may of you do this type of thing. I have done some research on it. And have a few cards in mind. Also maybe a stand-alone dvd recorder as have heard that the filters in them are usually pretty good depending on the player. Any input would be great. TIA

Here are some of the capture cards i am looking at.

I personally have used the Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle and I found it to be a better option for me. For one its universal, you don't need to install it inside your machine. It has lots of inputs and outputs. My only beef with it was the learning curve on setting it up and getting it to work properly. But once thats all sorted it it the best!
Records PS3 flawlessly. So it should work for your lazerdiscs too.
