GTX 580 Overclocking Question - Page 2

I have it at 2100 MHz (= 4200 MHz) on everyday use.

Thou on best benchies I have it 2200 MHz (= 4400MHz)

And if that 850 MHz is not stable with 1.050, just try 1.065, or something like that. My friend cannot keep his 580 stable with 850 and 1.050.

No problems at all.
Are you using MSI Afterburner to OC or?

I have also diff Evga bios, that you can add more voltages ( max 1.150) and make your 40-85% fan to go from 30 to 100%

And if You havent registered your cards yet, just use my affiliate code, click the banner in my sig here.

i registered my card as soon as i started up the new rig. I'm using precision for the tweaks. I set up a good fan profile yesterday (going to 100% at 88 temp). Yesterday I upped the bios with my fingers crossed, all went well

Well, hopefully you never see those temps.
Mine is folding full at the moment. 831MHz/4200MHz @ 1.038mV and 68C with 69% fanspeed. (ambient room temp is little bit higher cos of our baby. At the moment +23,5C)

Outside is -16C thou so would be perfect time for some serious Overclocking

max peak temp was 53C at 951MHz / 4400MHz @ 1.150mV and thats with air

i was hitting ~ 86 on crysis 1920x1080 16AF Very High settings. When i set my fan profile, i wasn't getting much above the low 70's. its pretty incredible what a good profile can do for you. didn;'t even really notice the fan noise either (had the speakers blaring)

btw, miring those temps at that OC.

Well, thats not bad temps. Thou bit high for my taste, but nothing serious at all.
I think on gaming (Stalker) my max temps were 83C with 69% fanspeed. Thats what I use for max fanspeed on my fanprofile.

And heres example of OC & Voltage making temps rising.

Like I earlier said my folding was:
68C 69% fanspeed @ 831MHz with 1.038mV

now I add some juice
69C 85% fanspeed @ 910MHz with 1.138mV
