Thread Starter
Hi guys,

I experienced lots of problems on early catalyst drivers, so I've been kind of reduncdant to upgrade my 10.9 drivers cause everythink is working OK, what advantages would I get with a move to 10.11 or 10.12 next week?

I found 10.11 to be very stable with my 5970 and while 10.12 and 11.1 provide good increases in performance they are not without issues. I didn't stay on 10.12 very long because the mouse cursor would be "sticky" whenever hovering around the top right corner of the screen. I installed the drivers with a clean install of Windows on freshly secure erased SSD's and selected do not download and install updates on first boot so no one can say, "You installed the drivers wrong".

I'm using 11.1 right now and by far the best scores benchmarking are with these drivers but still have the "sticky" cursor issue to a lessor degree and GPU one randomly sticks on 100% GPU load even when not currently using any 3D application. My 5970 is on water so it doesn't cause any overheating issues but Windows gets buggy with GPU1 at 100% especially any time UAC pops up. UAC is usually lightning fast with SSD's and lags for like 15 seconds whenever GPU1 is stuck on 100%.
