Yeah, but there's a healthy dose of Prestone mixed in with the water in the radiator that prevents galvanic corrosion.

Those who still run the 'Fat PS3' are prone to experience YLOD, due to overheating. By watercooling it, you can continue to enjoy backwards compatibility.

Ahh, interesting. I own a fat body ps3 but I've never experienced such a problem.

Don't worry about water cooling it.

It's like water cooling your original xbox 360 so you can use your 120gb HDD

I have a PS3 slim and have been on this same quest; however, there really aren't any blocks for it...you'd have to use universals. I found this:PS3- fat only/not slim compatible.

I was also disappointed...but I haven't given up yet. There really isn't a need as the PS3 slims don't get all that hot, but it's principle...we all watercool our PC's when it isn't needed...

I'll be having my own custom block made to cover both the CPU/GPU. A friend of mine just got a CNC machine for his home shop. smile.gif

Wow...nice. I'm definitely interested if he's willing to make me a duplicate. Are you going to do some tests before the final product?

And again...it's not necessary to watercool a PS3; which is exactly the reason I want to.
