Yes it's ddr2. I already use all 8GB as I use my pc mainly for virtual machines due to my profession and I have a requirement now to run (in addition to my virtual network) an exchange 2010 vm and a sql2k8 database server and don't have the available ram to do so.

I think I'll go looking for a new computer that supports high amounts of ram as I'm inclined to agree with the post about the restricted bios, £400 is a lot to gamble.

I've spotted the lenovo d20 that comes with dual quad core CPUs and 16gb ddr3 and is about £1500 so I'll likely just replace it with something like that smile.gif
