Do you know if that is a fast raid controller?

i have no idea TBH

but i try and steer away from RAID besides Raid 1

due to the fact that if your motherboard dies...

you need to get a new motherboard with a compatible Raid chip for it to work..

and SSD are that quick... that you will find that one big one will be faster then your system can keep up with...

i tried as a experiment with a SSD in my system...

running it as Sata1,2, and 3... to see the performance difference

yes the MB/s were different...

but the performance with loading things on the computer itself was the same...

the main advantage of SSD is the latency

my EEEPC 701 with it tiny and slow 4GB SSD with a max speed of 30mb/s

boots windows xp in 10 secs flat!!!

all due to the latency off the SSD..

it's obviously a very good card to use for physx and with games like Crysis 2 coming out with physx you can expect to be putting it to good use. also they announced metro 2034 and that will be looking for physx as well
oooo =]

Might hold on to it then.

I'd just like to thank everyone for all the suggestions. Appreciate it.

Ahh I get ya.

Ya I'll probably look into a 60gb + ssd IF I sell the card.

I don't mind waiting for Windows to load or programs, but if I have an extra bit of money, an ssd would be the way to go for sure

BUY IT =]

Everyone complains its too high of a price but that is an expensive extraordinary cooler sitting on that card that competes with a good water cooling loop on the gpu in terms of temperature.

I try to explain that but everyone thinks its a high price.
And it is a 2gb version card, which is kind of unique

I'll join the club too. Gotta message Frosty88

I was posting on that thread about the vid of my 465 ge. I bought it locally from frosty88 and he must have flashed it with a bios that had a high stock vid. Makes it easier for overclocking but makes for high temps when not overclocked.
