i7 920 heatsink reccomendation? - Page 2

+1 for push/pull on the mega. Either the Megahelam, the super-mega or the mega shadow, they're all pretty much the same heatsink with slightly different looks.

You don't need to have triple channel memory.

I run dual channel and it runs beautifully.

It was shown that triple channel memory had a very minute difference over dual channel. If you can get a nice dual channel 4gb kit for a good price don't hesitate.

At least that's my opinion. Triple channel is a gimmick. It's not required.

That sounds like a deal.

Get a nice cooler to go along with the 920 like a D14 or Silver Arrow.

Triple channel is a feature like HT that can be beneficial in some circumstances. If the CPU comes with the feature you might as well make use of it if some if your usages will be affected. Could've gone with an i5 otherwise...

All RAM prices have dropped pretty hard so a CL7 kit of triple channel is not some big difference in price like it used to be.

The D14/Silver Arrow or Megahalems should both fit in your case. The first two are practically the same cooler and they are the biggest coolers around. Megahalems is more compact and cools about the same. The main difference is the Mega doesn't come with fans and the others do, if you're trying to figure out total cost.
