GTX 580 Overclocking

Thread Starter
I have an EVGA GTX 580 that I've been OCing with Afterburner I got it to 975/1950/2150 @ 1150mV Which is the max voltage I can push with Afterburner

is there another program that would allow me to go higher or is there a way to get Afterburner to allow a higher voltage.....?
I know I could get higher on the core/shader if I can squeeze a little more juice through it.....

I'm trying to do this without a BIOS flash

Also temps are no where near an issue I've got an EK full-cover block on it and even @ 975/1950/2150 1150mV temps max out at 46c

I did get some nice results out of it though

(Vantage CPU score would be higher but I was playing with a GTX260 for PhysX)

(Lol also notice the GPU listed in the Unigine bench is the 260 I wanna see a GTX 260 score that......)

I think evga has overclocking software, try it out.

if u want to increase volt higher, you HAVE to unlock it via BIOS and flash the card. i think you can go up to 1.22
although i'd be wary of recent reports on dead 570 with bad power chips. maybe 580s have them too? ;/

You're probably right I am kinda pushing it..... I was hoping for 1Ghz..... but I'd rather have 975 than deep fried VRMs

where did you get your flashed bios, and what are your exact overclock settings, can you give GPU-Z Validation?

I hit 1 Ghz on 1.15 volt with the gtx580 watercooled but it was not stable, 3dmark vantage crashed. Should i flash the bios and set the voltage on 1.163? Will it be stable? Is it oke for a 24/7 clockspeed? How do i flash it?
