No. ES chips are MUCH more valuable. Much more. You'd be stupid to let that out of your hands.
Think of it as the difference between an off the shelf car like a Honda Civic compared to a handmade masterpiece like the Pagani Zonda F.
While it's impossible to make a chip by hand the quality level of the silicon is probably much more consistent given that these things weren't made on a large based scale and that these were given out to review houses that would have reported any failure with great effect.
I know if I were to give someone a sample of something to review I wouldn't want them to find out that under extreme stress the chip goes poof.
I might be dreaming over here but it's a possibility that these are binned very highly.
