Striker extreme revisions?

Thread Starter
I realise this has probably been asked a million times however i cant seem to find any threads

from a bit of research i'v seen alot of 680i motherboards were revised due to poor overclocking. the striker was one of those affected by being a terrible Quad overclocker this is well known

However were there any revised versions of the striker released, and if so how would one tell?

Just been overclocking on my striker i picked up a few days ago. got to 3.37ghz on the Q6600 G0 without alot of effort, tho from everything i'v read this is supposed to be impossible on this board.

Il admit its not the most stable overclocker of all time. the FSB has more holes in it than swiss cheese. sorta a guessing game what fsb it will post at,

But im curious, do i have a revised board? or is this just a fluke

And if anyone else happens to have this board/cpu some overclocking advice would be appreciated!

Thanks guys

Thats about max what my q66/rev1 board did,try to passed 3.6 to see if its a good board or not.
I could run 4.0 on any old p35 mb with the same chip.

I have the same mobo right now. It sucks tbh. The vDroop is horrendous so even if you are getting up to that speed, you will have to keep some dangerously high voltages on it just to keep it stable.

I had a similar post on Tom's Hardware and never got a response http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/288764-30-asus-striker-extreme-nforce-680i-revision
Our board has faded away man...

What does CPU-Z say the revision for your board is? Mine shows A2 for 2007 and I just cannot OC past 3.15GHz no matter what I do.
