i need a new monitor

Hello, Im in need of a new monitor, my current 32 inch tv is not cutting it.
i cant go smaller than 32 inches. and my budget is only about $500-600.
I was thinking of getting a 60" dlp but it will probably suck for what i do. I do a lot of source code work. Text would look like crap on that, i think.

also would a tv be ok. i have been using a tv for 4 years at it seemed to be ok, just the resolution is to low and recently the colors have become ,um, bad. red is pink yellow is white. it looks terrible. so any suggestions. i need at least 32 inches but bigger would be better. i was looking at a 37 inch and 42 inch 1080p tv.
i sit about 4 feet away from my screen. I really need some help, thanks. My sig rig is not ever getting worked out at this resolution.

it says that it has an 8ms response rate. would this make a decent monitor?

So basically you need a TV to use as a monitor since there's no monitor that is larger than 30". IMO I would suggest getting a LCD monitor if you use it for your PC but you said you can't settle for less than 32" then I guess you need a TV.
I have a 42" Panny hooking up to my HTPC but I only use it for movies purpose and the txt is harder to read than any monitor. If you must get a TV then consider looking into the 32" LG TV that use IPS panel, it's around your budget.
Otherwise I would pay a bit more and get the Dell U2711 that is currently on sale for $719.
