[LazyGamer]PS3 Hacker GeoHot Attacks Sony with Hip-Hop - Page 26

And the lesson learned for the hundredth time in the past few years: if you're a hacker or a millionaire or Obama or Bieber's boyfriend, keep your trap shut. No one's gonna believe you unless they know you.

Even if someone logs onto OCN as Geohot, no ones going to believe him. He would have to provide some very credible evidence.

I'm not debating your happiness or why you might do something. But I also know for a fact that there are a lot of technical idiots (by my standards) out there that can pass themselves off as an IT pro and make a pretty good living. If you've actually worked anywhere in IT like you say, then you know I'm not making this up.

Let me stop you right there. If all this is true, then it's time for me to use my least favorite emoticon on OCN: Instead of telling us how expert you are in this arena, why don't you show us. The whole reason I opened my mouth is because, on the surface, your comments smelled fishy...another self-proclaimed expert on the subject du jour, whose expertise is clearly self-evident because, well you know, you said so. But sounds to me like you should have something more solid for us to look at...link us to these tools or articles, and I for one would certainly be less inclined to question your qualifications. (Or don't...you don't have to prove anything to us, of course. But then don't get cranky when people doubt your more self-aggrandizing assertions.)

Fair enough. But as I said, don't expect anyone to believe your "I'm a great hacker" claims just on your word. I mean, as someone said a few posts ago, we don't know you from Adam.
